Go Ahead, Judge This Book By It’s Cover...
Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 7:49PM It’s supremely cracked, torn and wonderfully delicious vintage cover that is. Initially perplexed at the Aldredge House on what to use for a centerpiece, while designing Danielle’s bridal shoot, the answer was there... high on a shelf. Books. Loads of literature for the taking!
So, with some help from the fabulous Amy Karp, I stacked, leaned, propped and styled leather bound stories for a conversation worthy centerpiece. Miniature birds and nests perched on every vintage china placesetting... and, no linens? Great! Using pages from the books... I created my own custom table runner. Plus - no dirty table cloths! Vintage gloves and a strand of pearls strung from the chandelier completed the look.
It just goes to show, that necessity truly is the mother of invention... and mom’s are always right.

So, unfortunately for technology, there are some things that the “Kindle" and “Nook" can’t do...
