I know, I know, its been FAR too long since I have blogged my weddings. I have been utilizing Facebook to show my albums, however, what Facebook can not do is tell the story of my amazing couples, so that is what I want to focus on today!
Baleigh had me at hello... well, her mom's hello actually. I met her sweet mother Tammy first, and knew instantly I would have a connection with her daughter, who lives out of town but wanted a local wedding. My only regret is that Baleigh doesn't live near me, we are kindred spirits!
Baleigh wanted a day full of her closest friends and family while she said, "I Do" to her adorable fiance Caleb Hopson. Not a small task, as Baleigh has LOTS of close friends, mostly from Texas Tech where she is a proud Red Raider and large family! Caleb's family was equally as charming... His dad wore the suit from his own wedding years earlier to the couple's rehearsal. I will say, the baby blue threads shocked me at first, but not after I got to know Hopson!
Perhaps that is what made the day so wonderful - the people, and the love they exemplified. The gorgeous decor and lakeside views didnt hurt either! Held at gorgeous Harbor Chapel at Possum Kingdom, (you might remember that locale from Beth & Ron's nuptials a while back!) the day was a perfect one to tie the knot. Gorgeous blooms from Bows&Arrows provided the pops of color Baleigh wanted to highlight natural craftsmanship of the chapel and grille. Burlap textures and vintage elements served as backdrops for her casual, elegant, wedding on the water. Baleigh and Tammy curated whimiscal items for months to ensure her day was as unique as she is. Perhaps my favorite item was the amazing cake stand handmade by her grandfather, and the cake by my amazing gal Heidi at Sugar Bee Sweets. We displayed the ruffled confection on the stand, surrounding it with tons of vintage wooden crates creating a unique cake stand. Or... was my favorite the fabulous chandelier that hung between two tree's on the deck from my friend at Period Charm Rentals? Or finally, was it the candy containers Tammy made out of vintage oil spouts and mason jars I wast most enamored with... (& she surpised me with one of my very own!) I will let you be the judge...
